The hard part of a Christmas pajama party is not the food or the movie. It is getting fifteen people into pajamas that look like they belong together, without spending three weeks in a group chat.

Decide the rule before you send the invite
There are three workable rules, and you have to pick one before anyone shops.
Everyone in the same print is the strongest for photos and the most work for you, because you are collecting sizes. Everyone in the same color family is easier and photographs as a group from a distance. Everyone in whatever they already own is the least work and produces the photo you have already taken five times.
If the party has a photo at the end of it, pick the first one.
Collect sizes in one message, not fifteen
Send one message with a list of the sizes available and ask people to reply with a size, not a description of their body.
For our family Christmas sets that list is Youth 6M, 12M, 18M, 2Y, 4Y, 6Y, 8Y, 10Y, 12Y, 14Y, 16Y, then Adult XS through 5XL. Paste that. People pick from a list far faster than they answer an open question.
Two fit notes worth including in the same message. Men usually prefer to size up one for a roomier fit. Kids sizes run small, so size up one or two, especially if the party is weeks away.
Prints that work for a mixed crowd
A party is not a family. You will have friends, in laws, a teenager who will complain, and somebody's toddler.
The Western Santa print reads as fun without being childish, which is the narrow target for a mixed age group. The gingerbread cookie print does the same with a lighter palette. The elf costume print is the one to pick if you want the party to be visibly a costume party.
All three run the full size range in the same artwork, so nobody is in the off brand version.
If the party is in a warm place
A pajama party in Phoenix in December is a different physical experience from one in Minnesota. Heavy sleepwear indoors with the heating on and fifteen bodies in a room gets uncomfortable fast.

A countdown that works
Six weeks out, pick the date and the print. Send one message with the size list and a deadline for replies that is two days earlier than you actually need it.
Four weeks out, close the list and order. Anyone who has not replied gets whatever size you guess, and you tell them that in advance so it is their problem rather than yours.
Two weeks out, check the tracking. This is the point where a missing package can still be fixed.
The week of, confirm the food and pick the movie. Do not reopen the pajama question. Somebody will want to change their size and you will say no.
Things to have that are not pajamas
A pile of blankets, because people will sit on the floor. One movie decided in advance, because a group of fifteen cannot choose one. Food that does not need a fork.
If there is a photo, do it early in the evening while everyone still looks awake and before anyone has spilled anything.
Start earlier than feels reasonable
Everything is made to order. Production time comes before shipping time, and December is the heaviest production stretch of the year.
Work backwards from the party date, check the current production and shipping times, then add a buffer for the two people who reply with their size a week late. Somebody always does.
