For most women this means taking your normal size gives you a relaxed fit through the body with a little room in the shoulders. That is what you want in sleepwear. If you prefer a closer fit, some women take one size down, though the top will sit shorter.
If you are between sizes, take the larger one. Pajamas that are slightly roomy read as comfortable in photos. Slightly tight reads as the wrong size.
What comes in the set
One order gives you a long sleeve top with a crew neck and elastic waist pants, in the same print. Not a top sold alone.
The fabric is a soft lightweight stretch knit. It has give, so it does not pull when you sit cross legged on the floor, and it is not the heavy flannel that turns into a sauna once the oven has been on for two hours.
Print scale is a fit question too
A large print on a small frame can swallow you. A tiny repeating print on a 3XL can look like wallpaper.
The prints that work across the widest range of sizes are the ones with mid scale motifs and space between them. The vintage Christmas scenes print sits in that zone. The gingerbread cookie print uses palm sized motifs that scale up and down without either problem.
If you are shorter than average, avoid anything with a very large single figure. It will land in an awkward place on the top.
Personalized sets, and the trade you are making

The catch is that personalized items cannot be returned. If you are ordering for yourself that is usually fine, since you know your size. If it is a gift for someone whose size you are guessing at, order the plain version.

The personalized sets run S through 3XL with Style options for Men, Women, Kids, and Baby. Pick from these if you want a name printed into the design and 3XL covers you.
If you are somewhere in the middle and both work, the family prints give you more room to add people later. A print you buy into this year is still there if a partner or a kid joins the photo next year.
What to check on the product page
Three things, in this order.
Size availability for your size on that specific print, because the range is listed per product rather than per collection. Whether the listing is a set or a single garment, which for our pajamas is always a set. And the Style dropdown, if the product has one, since that changes the cut rather than just the size.
Care
Machine wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low. Do not iron directly on the print.
The design is sublimated into the fabric rather than printed on top, so it will not crack or peel with washing. Direct iron heat is the one thing that damages it.
Timing
Everything is printed after you order. That is why your size is always available, and it is also why you cannot order on December 20 and expect them for Christmas morning.
